Color Speaks to the Heart

What's behind the art?

Life is full of extreme riches and loss, and Marie has lived both in full living color.

With all these experiences, she choose to see the color, the beauty, and the opportunities in every day. She captures the power of the positive human experience, leaving sorrow behind. Obsessed with expressing these emotions through paint, she uses color and texture to reflect our beautiful surroundings here in Colorado and her observations, via travel around the Americas, Europe and Asia.

For nine years she has studied and practiced with various fine art media such as print making, mixed media collage, digital photography , and oil and acrylic painting. Her current work is in mixed media: acrylic paint, inks, hand painted papers, and some oil paint and found objects on canvas or board.
